Black Cable TV Ratings for Week of March 16 - 22 VH1 has a strong showing with ‘Ray J’ at No.2; TBS still the most watched network

Spring break continued to undo the usual cable viewing habits in black households, giving lower Top 25 favorites a chance to rise. One was VH1’s growing hit, “For The Love of Ray J,” which moved from 20th to No.2. No show was able to draw at least two million viewers, though TBS’ “Payne” held four of top five positions. BET’s “Baldwin Hills” moved up from 16th last week to seventh place this week, with a 43 percent increase in viewers.
TBS maintained its title as the week’s most watched cable network, with 8.4 million viewers for its Top 25 shows. For the third consecutive week, BET was second with 4.7 million, and Disney followed with 2.6 million.
